Imperial Sand Dunes, CA 2012
The pictures are from the Imperial Sand Dunes in southern California, close by to Yuma, Arizona. Over the winter of 2012 I was living in Yuma and the Dunes became a several week project. I photographed them from the air and on the ground. Much of the area is available for off road vehicles with a permit, hence the tracks you see in the pictures.
